Who the controller is

The controller of your data is Dominik Buksa, contact: buksadominik@gmail.com. This site runs on my own server; I do not use any third-party service to collect addresses.

What I collect and why

If you sign up to the newsletter I collect two things: your first name and your e-mail address. The name is there so the message does not open with „Dear user”. The address is there to send the message. I also record the date, the language you used and a hash of the network address the sign-up came from, so that bot sign-ups can be turned away.

The basis for processing is your consent: art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent is voluntary and the site works exactly the same if you do not give it.

How long I keep it

Until you withdraw consent. Withdrawal is one click: every message carries an unsubscribe link that deletes the address straight away. You can also write to buksadominik@gmail.com and I will delete it by hand within 72 hours.

If you never confirm the sign-up with the link in the first message, the address is deleted after thirty days and never reaches the sending list.

Who I share it with

Nobody, for marketing purposes. The server holding the database belongs to OVH and sits in France, inside the European Economic Area. OVH is a processor: it holds the data on my instruction and does nothing of its own with it. Messages are sent through a mailbox on the same server.

I do not sell data, do not share it for advertising, do not profile you and do not make automated decisions about you.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data I hold about you, to receive a copy, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict processing, to move it to another controller and to object. You can withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect the lawfulness of what happened before.

If you believe I process your data unlawfully, you may complain to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland.

Cookies and browser storage

This site uses no tracking cookies, no analytics, no advertising pixels and no social plugins. Three things are stored in your browser: the theme you picked (light, dark, automatic), the numbers of the cards you dismissed on the home page, and the fact that you have seen the cookie notice.

These are strictly necessary for the site to work, which is why I inform you rather than ask for consent. They all disappear when you clear site data in your browser.

The site embeds my own services in frames and links out to third-party services, for example boards on Pinterest. Once you open such a link, that service's policy applies, not mine.

Changes

If I ever add traffic measurement, I will change this page and ask for consent in a separate notice before anything starts collecting data. Last updated: September 2026.
